5 DAYS SHARING TANZANIA SAFARI – TARANGIRE- SERENGETI – NGORONGORO AND LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Starting off with Manyara National Park where you will witness the tree climbing lions, astonishing variety of birds, and wallowing hippos you will proceed
to Tarangire which is known for it’s Savannah plains, the immense herds of elephants amounting to 300 and migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala,
gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowding the shrinking lagoons of river Tara marks the start of your four days safari expedition. There after you will proceed
to Serengeti then Ngorongoro Crater allowing you to see the diverse topography and wildlife that East Africa offers.
Making your way from the rim of the crater to Serengeti through the adventurous roads of the hollowed-out Ngorongoro, while seeing animals, birds, and
reptiles along the way. You will come close to the Maasai culture as you will pass by one of their bomas have a time to see the huts try their garments and
experience the culture.
DAY O – Arrival – Kilimanjaro
Once you have arrived safely at Kilimanjaro airport you will be met by one of our friendly driver who will transfer to your Hotel in Moshi. Should you arrive
early you can explore the small town of Moshi, which is only a short taxi ride away, or you can just relax at the lodge and get ready for the days ahead. You
will also meet with one of our operations staff and Guide who will explain everything you need to know regarding your safari.
Day 1: Tarangire Natinal Park
You’ll depart from Arusha You will be picked up in the morning and after a short briefing, you will head off in the direction of Tarangire National Park.
The park, with its savannah, baobab trees, and seasonal swamps, is home to huge elephant herds. Animals gather at the life-giving Tarangire River and you
should see a selection of mammals ranging from giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest to zebra and warthog. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra and
wildebeest, which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then, but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From
the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and head to
the nearby Kizumba or Sunbright campsite where you will spend the night.
Days 2: Tarangire to serengeti national park
After the breakfast plates have been cleared, you will continue toward the fertile highland where wheat, coffee and corn are grown by the Iraq people.
Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Travel onward to the Serengeti National
Park which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania, with a diversity of landscapes and habitats.
It includes grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. Here, the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on the
season, you will have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals in their search for nourishment. You will spend the night in the Seronera area in
Central Serengeti at the campsite.
Days 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind,
we descend into the heart of wild Africa; the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a
valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy
an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at a camp.
Days 4 – 5: Ngorongoro crate to Manyara
Early in the morning, you will head down the forested slopes into the crater on a steep and narrow path. The crater floor is covered in open grassland with
the occasional acacia tree and two small wooded areas.
Teeming with wildlife, you will be able to see many animals in a short period of time. You might even be able to tick the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo,
rhino and leopard – off your list.
Other animals present in the crater area include wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, warthog, hippo and more than 500 species of birds.
You will spend the entire morning exploring the park. After a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Mto Wa Mbu where you will arrive by early evening
for dinner and overnight at Kizumba campsite.
Days 6 : Manyara and Back To Arusha
Today, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This small park is a paradise for both serious and amateur bird-lovers, as this small park is home to over
400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants.
Many mammals, such as bushbuck, waterbuck, wildebeest, zebra, baboon, monkey, lion and leopard can be seen roaming the forest and the acacia-dotted
plains of the park.
You will have an unhindered view of the surroundings as the safari vehicle’s roof can open up to allow you the best angle for photography. After an extensive
game drive in the park, you will leave the park in the afternoon. You will arrive in Arusha at around 5 PM.
