Day 1: Arusha / Moshi Londorossi Gate Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650m) 8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Lemosho Route
After breakfast, drive from Arusha/Moshi to Londorossi Gate (2,250m) for registration.
Continue driving through lush rainforest to the Lemosho trailhead where you start trekking.
Hike through the dense forest where you may see colobus monkeys and rich birdlife.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours

Overnight: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650m)

Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp Shira 1 Camp (3,610m)8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Lemosho Route
After breakfast, continue hiking through forest trails and into heather and moorland zones.
You will gradually climb up to the Shira Plateau, one of the highest plateaus on Earth.
Stunning views of Shira Ridge and Kibo Peak.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Lemosho Route
A gentle hike across the Shira Plateau, allowing for easy acclimatization.
You may take a short walk to explore Shira Cathedral, a large rock formation offering superb views.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp Lava Tower (4,600m) Barranco Camp (3,960m)
Today you climb steadily to Lava Tower for acclimatization, known as the “Shark’s Tooth.”
Lunch is taken at Lava Tower before descending to the Barranco Valley.
This is an important acclimatization day “climb high, sleep low.”

Day 6: Karanga Camp Barafu Camp (4,640m)8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Lemosho Route
After breakfast, tackle the Barranco Wall, a short but steep climb with spectacular views.
Walk through the Karanga Valley to reach Karanga Camp.
Afternoon at leisure for acclimatization.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours

Overnight: Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Gradual ascent through the alpine desert zone to Barafu Camp, the base for summit night.

Day 6: Karanga Camp Barafu Camp (4,640m)8 Days Kilimanjaro Climb via Lemosho Route
Early dinner and rest as you prepare for the midnight summit push.
Hiking time: 3–4 hours

Habitat: Alpine Desert
Overnight: Barafu Camp (4,640m)

Day 7: Barafu Camp Uhuru Peak (5,895m) Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Wake up around midnight for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point.
Trek through the cold darkness to Stella Point (5,739m) and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
Enjoy breathtaking sunrise views, then descend via Barafu to Mweka Camp for overnight.
Hiking time: 12–14 hours total (7 up / 5 down)

Day 8: Mweka Camp Mweka Gate Arusha / Moshi
After breakfast, descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m) for certificate collection.
Transfer back to Arusha or Moshi for a well-deserved rest.
