Mikumi National Park is located in southern Tanzania, making it easily accessible from Dar es Salaam. It is the fourth-largest national park in Tanzania and offers a fantastic safari experience.

The park is characterised by its wide-open plains, rolling hills, and the Mkata River, which attracts a variety of wildlife. Visitors to Mikumi can spot a range of animals, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species.

The park also features a network of well-maintained roads, making game drives enjoyable and rewarding.

Nyerere National Park: Formerly known as Selous Game Reserve, Nyerere National Park is located in southern Tanzania and is one of Africa’s largest protected areas. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a pristine and untouched wilderness experience.

The park is known for its diverse landscapes, including woodlands, grassy plains, and the mighty Rufiji River. Nyerere National Park is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including large elephant herds, lions, leopards, wild dogs, hippos, and crocodiles.

NOTE: With these safari packages, we advise you to fly with the flight that lands at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JRO), which is the getaway to the mentioned destinations, or Zanzibar, which you can reach in Dar es Salaam by boat (2 hours) or flight.

Day 01:Dar es salaam to Nyerere national park

After breakfast departing to Nyerere national park (Selous game reserve) when we arrive we will go for game drive and Lunch at the park after lunch we will go for afternoon boat safari. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 02:Nyerere National Park-Mikumi national Park

After breakfast, go for a game drive the common animals during this game-viewing adventure are common elands, giraffes, Grant’s zebras, Cape buffaloes, yellow baboons, Hippos, wildebeests, Defassa waterbucks, and African bush elephants.

You will also occasionally come across lions, greater kudu, spotted hyenas, Sable antelopes, hartebeests, and jackals. This park is also a haven for spotted

hyenas, leopards, and African rock pythons that are rarely encountered during game drives.Depart to Mikumi National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Mikumi -Dar es Salaam

Early morning after breakfast drive to the park for game drives through the spectacular savannah plains of Mikumi National Park.

Later in the evening drive back to Dar es Salaam, drop off at your hotel or airport. This marks the end of our 3 days Nyerere and Mikumi National Park Tour
